Colombo - Capital of Sri Lanka

The first thing that comes to mind when thinking of Sri Lanka is Colombo. Colombo is the largest commercial and financial city in Sri Lanka. At the same time, Colombo is the capital of Sri Lanka. Earlier, it was named Sri Jayawardanapura Kotte. As Sri Lanka is on a strategic route in the Indian Ocean, Colombo hosts one of the busiest ports in South Asia.  There are no huge historical things to visit, but as the capital of Sri Lanka, it is the most visited place in Sri Lanka by every tourist.
